Abstract
Although a large number of new technologies for the human-machine interface (HMI) have been introduced in the last two decades, only a few have found their way into the professional world of work. What all these technologies have in common is that they promise great potential, but in practice it proves difficult to realise this potential.
This lecture will present both the virtual reality (VR) applications already established in the field of human factors engineering to support the development process and current work on the integration of VR/AR/MR in innovative human-machine interfaces.
